- Before your first treatment, we recommend testing the Beam IPL on a small area of skin of the body part you plan to treat. Try an area about 2 x 3 cm in size; equivalent to the size of two flashes, side by side. Wait 24 hours to examine the test area. If the skin appears normal, begin your first treatment. If a skin reaction develops, discontinue using the device and consult your physician.
- Clean the flash window and skin tone sensor with a soft cloth.
FREE: Mini-Razor
Shaving before undergoing IPL treatment is crucial to achieve the best possible outcome.
If you skip shaving, the IPL device will produce light energy to target hair follicles, but some of it will be absorbed by the hair on the surface, reducing the therapy's effectiveness.
If you don't shave, you also risk burning your skin. The light energy from the IPL device can burn the hair on your skin's surface during treatment, burning you in the process.

During Treatment
- Wear your protective eyewear.
- Plug in your device to a standard wall outlet using the included power adapter. Then, connect the adapter to the device and press and hold the power button until it turns on.
- Adjust your device's settings before bringing it in contact with your skin.
- MANUAL (For Smaller & Sensitive Areas) – Press the flash button to activate a single flash. You can also manually adjust the energy level by pressing the power switch to adjust the energy level in the sequence of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, as displayed in the digital display. By default, the Beam At-Home IPL operates in manual mode but can be switched to automatic mode by pressing the flash button for 3 seconds.
- AUTO (For Large Areas) – Automatically adjusts the intensity level according to your skin tone and flashes on full skin contact. Makes your sessions faster.
- To activate the flash, hold the device firmly against the skin at a 90-degree angle. Please note that the device will not flash if it's not held at the correct angle. You will know that the device is ready to flash when you see an ‘OK' displayed on the screen.
- Move the device to the next section of your treatment area. We recommend treating in a well-lit room for increased comfort to help reduce the perceived brightness. Repeat until you have covered the entire treatment area.
If you experience severe pain, discontinue use of the device immediately and consult with your doctor prior to using it again. - After use, please turn off the device by pressing the power switch and unplug the power adapter.
Post-Treatment
